App terms

Benchmrk

The professional survey control mark application for iOS, developed by Geolocarta Technologies. Used for discovering, inspecting, navigating to, and exporting survey control mark data across Australian jurisdictions.

Jurisdiction

In the context of Benchmrk, a jurisdiction refers to an Australian state or territory whose survey authority provides control mark data. The app supports NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, TAS, NT, and ACT by default.

Mark details panel

The expandable panel that displays comprehensive information about a selected survey control mark, including horizontal coordinates, vertical data, and mark metadata. Also referred to as the DetailedPointInfo view.

Summary card

The compact card that appears at the bottom of the map screen when you tap a mark pin. It shows the mark's name, type, status, and distance. Tap it to open the full mark details panel.

Layer manager

The map control that allows you to switch between basemap styles (hybrid and terrain) and manage mark layer visibility.

Filter

A set of criteria used to narrow the marks displayed on the map and in search results. Filters are jurisdiction-specific and persist between app sessions.

App tour

The introductory walkthrough displayed on first launch, guiding new users through the main features of Benchmrk. Can be replayed from Profile → App Tour.

Support Chat

The in-app support messaging system used in Benchmrk. Access it from Profile → Support to chat with the support team.

Province code

A short code representing an Australian jurisdiction, used in API calls. Valid codes: nsw, vic, qld, sa, tas, nt, act.
