AI Usage Quotas

AI Assist analyses are a metered feature — each analysis consumes one unit from your monthly usage quota. This page explains how quotas work, how to check your remaining balance, and what happens when you run out.

How quotas work​

Every AI Assist analysis counts as one quota unit. Your monthly allocation depends on your subscription tier.

Checking your remaining quota​

You can check how many AI analyses you have left:

  1. Open the account menu in the header.
  2. Your remaining quota is displayed alongside your subscription tier information.
  3. The AI Assist panel also shows your remaining quota when you activate pin-drop mode.

The quota counter updates in real time after each analysis completes.

What happens when quota is exhausted​

When your monthly quota reaches zero:

  • The AI Assist button remains visible but triggering an analysis shows a quota exhaustion message.
  • You cannot run new analyses until the quota resets or you upgrade your tier.
  • Existing results are unaffected — Any previous AI recommendations remain accessible.
  • Other features continue to work normally — Search, Ledger, Snapshots, and export are not affected by AI quota limits.

Plan your AI analyses for the month. If you're working on a large project, consider spacing out analyses or upgrading your tier to avoid running out mid-project.

Quota reset​

Quotas reset on a monthly billing cycle tied to your subscription:

  • The reset date aligns with your billing date.
  • On reset, your quota returns to the full monthly allocation for your tier.
  • Unused quota from the previous month does not roll over.

Upgrading for more quota​

If you consistently need more AI analyses than your current tier provides:

  1. Go to the account menu and select Manage Subscription.
  2. Choose a higher tier with a larger monthly allocation.
  3. The upgrade takes effect immediately — your quota is adjusted to the new tier's allocation for the remainder of the billing cycle.
