AI Assist Introduction

AI Assist is Benchmrk's AI-powered feature that helps you find the most relevant survey marks near a location. Instead of manually searching and filtering, you drop a pin on the map and let the AI analyse nearby marks based on your project needs.

How it works​

AI Assist uses a three-step workflow:

1. Activate pin-drop mode​

Click the AI Assist button in the sidebar to enter pin-drop mode. The map cursor changes to indicate you can place a pin.

2. Place your pin​

Click anywhere on the map to drop a pin at your location of interest. This tells the AI where to focus its analysis.

3. Get recommendations​

After placing your pin, you can configure analysis preferences (such as project type, maximum distance, and mark status filters) and then trigger the analysis. The AI evaluates nearby marks and returns recommendations ranked by relevance to your criteria.

What the AI considers​

The AI analysis takes into account:

  • Proximity — How close marks are to your pin location.
  • Mark status — Whether marks are active, destroyed, or in other states.
  • Mark quality — Horizontal and vertical class ratings.
  • Your preferences — Project type, priority settings, and any additional notes you provide.

Usage quota​

AI Assist analyses count against your monthly usage quota. The number of analyses available depends on your subscription tier. You can check your remaining quota in the account menu.
