DocsPanel Blank or Not Loading
You click the DocsPanel toggle but the panel appears blank, shows a loading spinner indefinitely, or displays an error.
Possible Causes
| Cause | Symptoms | Resolution |
|---|---|---|
| Ad blocker interference | Panel opens but content is blank or blocked | Ad blockers may block the panel or requests to the documentation server. Add an exception for the domain. |
| Browser content restrictions | Panel shows a security error or refuses to load | Some browser security settings or extensions restrict embedded content. Check your browser's content security settings. |
| Network connectivity to the documentation server | Loading spinner never resolves | The DocsPanel loads content from the documentation server. If that server is unreachable, the panel can't display anything. |
| Corporate firewall or proxy | Panel fails to load in a work environment | Your organisation's firewall may block access to the documentation server. Contact your IT team to whitelist the domain. |
Step-by-Step Resolution
- Check for ad blockers — Disable your ad blocker temporarily or add the documentation server and Benchmrk to your ad blocker's allowlist.
- Try an incognito/private window — This disables most extensions and uses default browser settings. If the DocsPanel works in incognito, an extension is likely the cause.
- Test direct access — Open the documentation site directly in a new browser tab. If the site loads, the issue is with embedding. If it doesn't load, the issue is network-related.
- Check browser settings — Ensure your browser allows embedded content. In some browsers, strict tracking protection can block embedded content.
- Open docs externally — As a workaround, use the external link button in the DocsPanel header to open the documentation in a separate browser tab.
info
The DocsPanel renders the documentation site inside the application panel. This means it requires both network access to the documentation server and browser permission to embed third-party content.
